What we find on Nellore terraces
Nellore takes much of its rain from the north-east monsoon, later in the year than the rest of coastal Andhra. Buildings here are often wet in October and November when owners have stopped thinking about the terrace, and the damage is found late. Near the Pennar and the aqua ponds the ground stays wet as well, so ground-floor walls and cellars need as much attention as the roof.

How the work is done
- Step 01
Surface preparation
We grind off the loose, flaking top layer with wire cup wheels, so the new work sticks to strong concrete.
- Step 02
Pressure grouting
If a crack goes through the slab, we pump cement grout into it from the top or from below, until the full depth is filled.
- Step 03
Chipping and repacking
Loose and hollow patches are chipped out and filled again with polymer-mixed mortar, finished level with the slab.
- Step 04
Crack treatment
Surface cracks are cut into a V-groove, filled with epoxy and, after drying, sealed with a flexible PU sealant.
- Step 05
Coving
The joint between the terrace and every parapet wall is packed into a rounded fillet, so water does not stay in the corner.
- Step 06
Two-coat application
Two polymer-cement coats – the first brushed one way, the second across it after drying. Then a protective top coat in the colour you choose.
