We do not publish a rate, because a number given before anyone has walked the terrace is a number that gets revised later. Here is what actually moves it, so you can read any quotation, including ours, properly.

What moves a waterproofing quotation
In roughly the order they matter. The first two account for most of the difference between two buildings of the same size.

The measured area
Waterproofing is quoted on area, so the first thing we do on site is measure it, not the plot size and not what the plan says, but the actual surface that has to be treated, including the parapet returns and any coving.
A bigger terrace costs more in total, but usually less per unit, because setting up, bringing the crew and hiring the machinery are the same whether the terrace is 600 square feet or 2,000.

What condition the slab is in
A sound slab that has simply never been treated is the cheapest job there is. A slab with hollow patches, a chalking old coat that has to come off, or plaster already fallen off the ceiling below is a different job, because the surface has to be made good before anything can be applied to it.
This is the single biggest swing between two terraces of the same size, and it is why we tap the surface rather than just look at it.

How much crack work there is
Hairline surface cracks are dealt with in the ordinary course of the work. Cracks that go through the slab have to be cut open, filled and sealed, and cracks that are actively leaking need grout injected under pressure before anything goes on top.
A terrace in Rayalaseema that has been baking for a decade can need more crack treatment than coating. Counting and measuring those cracks is most of what the site visit is for.

How many coats, and what kind
A house terrace, a bathroom sunken slab, a basement wall pushing water inwards and a cold storage roof all need different treatments, and a different number of them. More coats cost more, and the right number is set by the building, not by the budget.
Where a cheaper specification would genuinely do, we will say so. Where it would fail in two years, we will say that too.

Getting to the work
A ground-floor house terrace with a staircase to it is straightforward. An eighth-floor terrace, a basement with no natural light, a cold storage that can only be shut down at night, or a godown full of stock all cost more to work on, because of access, staging and the hours the crew can actually work.
Tell us about the access on the phone. It is the detail most people forget, and the one most likely to change a quotation later.

The finish on top
The protective top coat comes in terracotta, white and grey. A terrace that will be walked on, washed, or carry water tanks and machinery needs a harder-wearing surface than one nobody sets foot on.
Light finishes cost the same as dark ones and keep the slab measurably cooler, which is worth having in Vijayawada.
Five things worth checking before you sign anything
Ours or anybody else's. A quotation that looks cheap is often quoting a smaller job.
- A rate quoted over the phone, before anyone has seen the terrace or measured it.
- A quotation that gives one lump figure with no list of steps, so you cannot tell what has been left out.
- No mention of crack treatment on a terrace that visibly has cracks. The cheapest way to make a quotation look cheap is to leave out the part that takes the time.
- A price that assumes the old coating stays. If it is chalking or lifting, anything applied over it comes away with it.
- A promise of a fixed number of years from somebody who has not been on the roof.
