What goes wrong on builders & contractors
Most of the leaks we are called to in two-year-old buildings are not wear. They are the cold joint where one pour met the next, the pipe sleeve packed with mortar instead of sealed, the sunken bathroom tiled over before anything was applied, the shuttering pockets never made good. Every one of those is cheap to deal with at the right stage of the build and expensive afterwards, because by then it is under tiles, under finishes and under an owner who has moved in.
