What causes it
The same wet patch can come from different places, and each one needs a different fix. This is what we look for on site.

Leakage from the terrace above
The most common reason. Water enters through a crack or a failed coating on the terrace and travels through the slab.

Rusted reinforcement
When water reaches the steel inside the slab, the steel rusts and expands. That pushes the concrete cover off the ceiling, which is the plaster you see falling.
- 03
Leaking pipe or sunken bathroom above
If the wet patch is under a bathroom or a kitchen and does not depend on the rain, the source is usually a pipe or the sunken portion above.

Sunshade and chajja joints
Water enters at the joint between the sunshade and the wall and comes out on the ceiling inside.

Step by step, in this order. Nothing is skipped to finish a day early.

Find the source
We check the terrace, the sunshades and the rooms above, tap the ceiling for hollow patches, and identify where water is entering, not just where it is showing.
- 02
Stop the leak
Depending on the source we grout the crack, seal the joint or treat the terrace above. The ceiling repair is only done after the water is stopped.
- 03
Chip the loose plaster
Only the patches that are already loose or ready to fall are chipped out. Sound concrete is left alone.
- 04
Clean the steel
Rusted steel rods are brushed clean of rust and dust so the new mortar grips the bare metal, and treated to slow down further rusting.
- 05
Repack and finish
The patch is filled with polymer repair mortar and finished level with the ceiling, ready for putty and paint.
